I must have been a saint in my past life. Shit. How uncool is that? Well, I'm at the office right now. And it's a Sunday. Working because my boss says so. Ultimate act of martyrdom. I'll shove it up his ass one of these days. But right now, I love it here. I love the people. And the pay, of course. But it's mostly the people.
Well. I'm bored. I must have been staring at the monitor for an hour now. I can't work. I hate corporate sites. I hate pricing engines. They suck. It would have been easier if I was working on something fairly recent. But these codes are friggin' oolllddddd. They don't have comments. It's not even documented. It feels as if it was made by really freaky Frankensteins. Fuuuccckkkk.. And now I'm stuck with it. I've never hated anything this much. It's a touch-it-and-die kind of code. Touch a single line and the whole commission page dies with it. They are scary to read. They are even scarier to touch. That's what I'm doing right now. I already have nightmares about these things. And I'm supposed to deploy it in the actual site. Fuck. I'm going to die. I'm stressed. So I'm doing what a model employee would do. Blog. And play games. Heee.. I love "working". Ok. So maybe I'm not such a saint after all. Shhh. Don't tell my boss.
We listened to Nyoy Volante's new cd before sleeping earlier. Yes. We bought originals this time. I like his voice. I dunno why. It sounds.. sweet. Plus he's a nice guy. And he's way cooler than I will ever be.
-- You're not mine
Hey you, I just wanted to say
How perfect you are in every way
Saying I love you at this moment would be way out of line
'Cause you're not mine
Hey you, I just wanted to say
How beautiful you are everyday
Saying I want you every moment right now is just not the time
'Cause you're not mine
Now don't get me wrong
This isn't a 'please be mine now' song
If he makes you happy, I'd even help you keep him strong
I could wish he was over, over and over, but that wouldn't be nice
So instead I'll just pray if ever he goes, my love for you never dies
How I would love to wrap my arms around you now
One kiss and one smile
I wish you were mine
I'm wondering why you're not mine
There's this other song but, for the love of me, I can't remember the title. I'll have to check again later.
So..
Ok. Nyoy Volante. What was I thinking! I think that puts a period to how uncool I am.

How I'm spending my life.. Part 7
Sunday. Massage and Pirated DVD day. We were almost out of dvds to watch so we headed to St. Francis. We grabbed a bite to eat at El Pollo Loco (um.. onion breath) and then headed to pirated dvd wonderland.
As we entered the place, a guy called out to us and pointed to the elevator. All he uttered was "CCF?"... What? Well, people seemed to know what he was talking about and they were piling up inside the elevator. Marian was staring at the guy and then back to the elevator with people crammed in it. She was about to enter, thinking it was the path to really sinfully cheap dvds, when I called her out of her trance. I remembered Aisa talking about church or something. Then we heard the songs playing in the background. Makes sense. So anyway, we bought a dozen dvds. And we're probably going to burn in original dvd hell.
We also went to this "Philippine Travel Mart" fair in SM Megamall where tour companies offer "supposedly" cheap tour packages. Just the thing we needed. Marian definitely needs another vacation by October. Plus her sister is coming over again this December. She liked her stay here so much that she already booked a flight. Of course, we'd probably spend New Year together while Marian is at work. Damned.
Before going home, we stopped by a pet shop. I tried taking a picture of this really cute thing but most of the pictures were fluffy blurs. I only had one non-fluffy blurry thing.
Ok. I probably like warm fluffy things. They make me smile.
(lazy bunny wrestling)
(funky hair. heeee heeeeeeee.. I'll hug them until they die.)
(These guys were making out before we rudely interrupted them. I patiently waited for about 5 more minutes to catch them making out but they just stared at me. I was about to make out with Marian so that they could be "inspired" but Marian made me eat my camera.)
Now safely back at home. Camera is ok. Massaged and relaxed. In Stealth mode. Wearing earphones while watching videos online. 'Coz girlfriend is in dreamland.
So now I have to go through all these.
Just to get the best priced tour package.
Maybe I should just keep one and dump the whole thing and tell Marian I only found just one interesting thing. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to post a particular thought on a blog where Marian can read the particular thought. Mm.
But I could do you guys a favor and post the best tour package though. If you can wait for it. Probably by next year. Maybe.
I don't mind going through the dvds though.
We already filled up 3 of these things but when Marian's sister came over, she took most of it back to Cebu. Original DVD hell. But we do have originals. Most of them are gay oriented. Bleh.
We also bought a mask and snorkel set at the travel fair. It was on sale! How can we resist? Masks usually cost around 1,500 and the snorkel is around 500. We got the set for only 700!
Notice that the mask is missing in the picture. That's because I was wearing it when I took the picture. I'm wearing it right now. While blogging. I can't see very well. But I'm probably going to wear it while showering tomorrow. And I'm going to wear it downstairs when I buy stuff at Ministop tonight. I'm sleeping with it. But not in the hot, steamy and orgasmic sleeping sense. Ok. Maybe in that sense as well. It's a good thing we didn't buy the flippers. I don't know when we'll be able to use it so I'm using it as much as I can.
Yep. Awesome. I love Sundays with my girlfriend.

fancy shmancy
Serendra. No wonder it sounds fancy. It really is fancy. Beautiful shops. Beautiful fountains. Beautiful homes. Beautiful buildings. Beautiful people.
Messed up again. As usual, we were too early. We're always a little too early. We got there at around 9am. We had fun looking around the place. But at around 10am, I already felt the need to strangle someone.
You know how everything is fueled by something? Well.. The biggest factor in my life is my stomach. My biological battery was at around 2%. Just enough power to utter my last coherent sentence.
Close to self destruction. Begging Marian to go to market! market! and eat something. Anything. Of course, she had to carry me on her back. I was already babbling. But we made it. Thank God for Red Ribbon. My battery went up to 5%. Just enough to make me smile. We still had an hour or so to kill.
So like any sane person would do, we ran around the place shouting. Since everyone was staring at us (I think someone called the security personnel on us. Shet you. Whoever you are.), we took a seat and decided to just chill for a while.
Ok. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to make faces in places where uber "fancy" people shop.. But who gives a shit?

Finally. The gates of heaven opened. We ate at Abe. It's a pretty cool place.
We ordered prawns in some sort of heart-attack inducing sauce. Me thinks. Sugpo in aligue ng talangka. I don't know what a talangka is but I do know that aligue is some sort of fat. Yum, huh? Their sisig was fine. Ok. Don't order it. You can get better sisig dishes elsewhere. But they do have unlimited rice.
Their service was awesome. For me, it was the cute waitress factor. For Marian, it was the "taking care of the unstated needs of the customer".
We didn't even ask them for anything. They seem to know what we need. Psychic connection.
They already added the service charge to the bill but we still left some money. Again, for me, it was because of the cuteness level of the waitress. And again, for Marian, it was the unstated needs shit.
Looking around the place, I kept on thinking about old people. Old pictures. Old memorabilia. Not too old smell. Really old music. This is an old person's place. Halfway through our meal, that's when the place was flooded by old people. I was right. It's an old people restaurant.
For dessert, we went to buy some cupcakes. Fuckin' expensive but still yummy though.
We then headed to market! market! Marian window shopped while I was staring into nothingness. It was the first Gaisano store we saw here in Manila. Then it was off to buy some groceries and then head home.
We did have something planned for the evening. We were supposed to laugh our asses off at a comedy bar with some friends. But when we woke up, it was raining shit. So we had to call the whole thing off and get back to our slumbers. We'll have to try again some other day. I woke up a few hours afterwards to head to work. I took a bath and as soon as I stepped out of the bathroom, I saw Marian with her puppy dog eyes.. asking me if I could take a day off from work. Heh. I think she missed me. So here I am. Blogging in my underwear.

why? how does marian love thee?
Oftentimes, you ask me why i love you. I'm not sure if you just want assurance or if what I'm doing is not enough...
So, let me go ahead and remind you that you are and will be the only person that i love.
i love you because you understand me
and because you sometimes lose it when i get super crazy..
i love you because you're such a clown
and because you occasionally lack in joke delivery..
i love you because you care for me
and because you're sometimes too tired to cook for me..
i love you because there's always a kid in you
and because you choose games (DOTA) over me..
i love you because you're so sweet
and because i always get "kilig" when our eyes meet..
i love you because you fight for me
and because you also easily give up when we're having a major conflict ..
i love you because you love your family
and because you complain about them at some point in time..
i love you because you're so strong and brave
and because you're sometimes weak and break down to tears..
i love you because you're cute
and because you're vain when it comes to your hair..
i love you because you don't give a damn about what you're wearing
and because you complain when i wear something daring..
i love you because you always smile
and because you don't really care if your vampire-like teeth is showing..
i love you because you're not afraid to speak what's on your mind
and because you end up unconsciously bragging..
i love you because you always protect me
and because you're often the one scaring me (monster face)..
i love you because you worry so much about me
and because you are too preoccupied sometimes to even notice me..
i love you because you know how to listen
and because you just simply listen with all my random ramblings..
i love you because you're smart
and because you're too straightforward to correct me on things..
i love you because you're too good to be true
and because you're at times very grumpy and hard to please..
i love you because you spoil me
and because you also completely ignore me when I'm a mess ..
i love you because you make me laugh most of the time
and because you make me cry until my eyes grow tired..
i love you because you're simply YOURSELF...
Koi,
i may not be perfect.
i may annoy you at times.
i may destroy your mood with my tantrums.
i may sometimes disappoint you.
i may nag you and say stupid things.
and then take it back.
but putting all that aside,
you'll never find someone
who truly cares for you and loves you
more than I do...
"love and hurt can never be separated. so, don't be afraid to love because you might be hurt. but be grateful that hurt is there, because without it, love just can't be love."
Happy 7 years and 2 months eb!

fuck you very much
Marian was browsing downelink for cute people. While she was on this particular page, there was this song playing. It had this catchy tune but what really caught our attention was the chorus. Yes. Fuck you. Fuck you very much. Haha. The song is titled - Guess Who Batman (Fuck you very much).
Don't know much about the artist, Lily Allen. But her song seems to be gay friendly. That definitely does not hurt at all. So we searched for her on youtube and found other songs by her. "Smile" is a fun song. She had this wicked smile there that you can't help but smile as well. Don't expect any deep poetry thingy from her though. But you can be mildly surprised by what she has to say on certain subjects.

potato patatas potats
Wendy's baked potatoes. Yum.
I don't have a picture. It's mostly because I finished the thing in less than 5 minutes. There's just not enough brain cells to start the picture taking process when the dish is calling out to me. But I promise to try to take a picture next time.
The dish, per se, is not 'awesome' awesome. And I think it's too expensive at 88 petots. I could probably make it at home. I'm just crazy about potatoes and/or cheese (I'm crazy about any good food actually. My mental capacity is determined by what I have digesting in my stomach.). That dish just happens to have them together. So.. Yumm..

Bar hop
I never really liked bars. I don't like beer. And I don't like smoking. And I, especially, do not like to 'dress up'.
My engineering buddies often try to drag me to bars on a Saturday night. I've always managed to dodge their claws. Pretending to be sleep talking whenever they call. Feigning a heart attack. LBM. Dementia. Quarterlife crisis. My lolo coming over. My lola. Name it.
But I went to a bar last Saturday. Do you know why I suddenly decided to give Absinthe a try and become uncomfortable with shits and all? I didn't know it then. But I do know now. I liked their company. I really do.
These people are crazy. But I think they're nice. Really nice. And there's a lot more to them than what meets the eye. But I won't talk about their stories. It's not mine to tell.
Plus, Hans, JC and the girls like CounterStrike. So there's always a slim chance we'd play after the bar hop thing. That's a big PLUS. I love games.
But, in spite of the fun, I still felt like a fish out of the water. This was my 1st time after all. The Libis thing wasn't really a 'bar' bar. Some may argue but I have a different definition. So just shaddup.
It's not that I don't like my eng buds. It's just that I don't want to talk about make-up. It's usually the girls that drag me. And they're very girly. Super girly. Chua is probably the girliest girl ever. But I think the biggest factor would be that they don't know I'm gay. So they spend their time trying to make me wear horrible pink fluffy ribbony stuff. And it's tiring. It's not that I don't want to tell them. I tried a couple of times. But that's another story.
So... I went to a bar. I'm not sure if I'm ever gonna try it again. My mom would be proud that I actually tried having a life.
